Should I get the 90/90 size?
Re: Best place for tires and tubes
Well, if you spring for a set of metropolitan wheels, you won't need tubes!goreyboggs wrote:Should I get the 90/90 size?
(They are tubeless rims) You can find them used or buy them new. I really like the ride of the 90/90.

Greetings:
Yes, you can mount the 90s to the 1.85" Elite rims. However they look a little funny in profile, rather like a light bulb. The Met rims are truly a bolt-on swap for post-'94 elites, and you just need a post-'94 brake panel for earlier models and Aeros. It's well-worth the trouble to go Tubeless.

If you use 3.00/3.25-10 tubes you will max out the profile of the tire, plus its a softer ride, trick of the trade!
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
