Questions about a dio

Post by JakeTheNoob »

Ok, i just got a honda dio 2000 and i have a few questions.

1) only the high beam works for the headlights, what do i do?
2) electric start does not work, but it starts with one kick. what do i do?
3) i need to buy some body panels, where could i get those?
4) is there any way to make a honda dio into a 2 seater?
5) where can i find a copy of the user guide?

thanks

High beam dont even really matter b/c it dont even go out that far so drivers dont even know. as for a guide i think that we got one on here.

for number 5, where on here? i dint see anything for a dio! only older models.
for number 4, i know the legal requirements are to have a place to put the passengers feet, and thats it.. does anyone know of pegs that can be screwed on or something simple like that?
for number one, there are two seperate light bulbs?

1) its a sealed unit so you have to replace the whole thing. But make sure your switch is good and connections. 4) standard bike pegs will work i believe 5) Its in tech docs

Yes, but if you switch it to low beam, the high beam should be off..whether the low beam is working or not. If the high beam doesnt switch off after you switch it to low beam..then check your switch and wiring.

when the switch is on low beam, there is no light. when its on high, the high beam is on.
How much does the unit cost?
also, anyone have any ideas about body panels? where to buy them i mean.
the user guide for a dio is not in tech docs...

Yeah, and I wont have to worry about getting the wrong part, shipping, etc.
Although I might need something from over there at one point... Ill let you know.
I really need the user guide though!
Also, anyone know of some good info sites about that particular model? When I google it, theres about a page of english mildly related sites and then its in korean or chinese...

All the best!

If you have a sealed beam get an 01 head light from honda which has a replacable bulb and half the price, try vt cycles.com for Taiwan panels, i no longer ship them cuz they are a b**** to box up.
