1985 Honda NQ50 Spree Cylinder Head Direction Help Needed!

Post by 70JUDGE »

Does anyone know the right way the head goes on this bike?I tried using the manual on this site, but it shows it going on two different ways in the pictures! And the parts breakdown online doesn't help either! There is a notch cutout by one of the bolts, and it can either go towards the front,or back of the bike, and this would put the fins two different ways depending on how the air is "supose" to flow. The head can actually go four different ways, but I have ruled two of those out as they appear to block the airflow. Please let me know which is the "RIGHT" way!A picture of the cylinder head on a bike that hasn't been apart before would be great!Any help is greatly appreciated!Thank You very much!

Any way, that maybe you can tell what way it was originally? Dirt blown at the head from the fan?
