At a junkpile up the road (I run there with my scooter and dig; it's my grandpa's), I found a exhaust pipe for a snowmobile. Acutally, I've known it was there for a while, but just recently, on a trip there, got an idea for it. It was from a small single cylinder sled, I believe (195 or so cc's), and it might not work well, but would look
very cool made to fit my Elite. Anyone know if one is just sheet metal, or if it actually has packing in it? It is just a standard snowmobile exhaust. I suspect that it may have packing, since, it is heavy, and I shook all the mouse nest out of it, and, on my snowmobile, it seems like the pipe offers a bit of restriction, since, the exhaust would rather leak out of a flange than come out the outlet. And if the pipe didn't have packing, it would offer about 0 restriction to the exhaust. Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated. If I get a wire feed welder, I'll cut the end off, and see what's inside. For those who don't know what a snowmobile exhaust pipe looks like, I'll post a pic soon.
Edit-

The one in the pic is similar in style to what I found. It is about identical to the one on my snowmobile.
