Those put my Express to shame! Just kidding...I like the rust, scrapes and jerry-rigged fuel line. Seat tears rock too!
Anyway, I've been tracking this to see what the auction goes for...it's truly an amazing lot. If they only had the Pal Green version too...it would be a complete '78 set!

Lot went for:
$2125
Amazing scoots they are. Mint and EXTREMELY low mileage. Lucky, lucky, lucky bidder!
I'm picking up my second Express tomorrow...an '82!

Gotta sweet (cherry, as they say) '82 for a good price. Doesn't run...but I'll figure it out. Very, very nice seller...tried to get it running...but couldn't. Will be a couple of weeks before I get it going... Just need to spend some time on my '78 Express and Batavus first. Priorities, ya know (plus, the Horn's season is about to start!!! (sorry, Michigan!!!))...

On the topic of Expresses...I'm close to finishing up my '78 (my wife's actually). I'll post pics when done...'cause it is a polar opposite example of those two that went in the lot.
I've scavenged parts on ebay and ended up with a Pal Green body (original bike color), Angel Blue gas tank (from an '80 I think) and Mars Orange headlamp case. Did I mention that the fenders are faded so they are now a pastel/puke green (not Pal Green). Oh, did I mention this one is for my wife? The resulting rainbow of colors doesn't suit me. ;-]
I should get some Parakeet Yellow footpeg bracket covers or fenders to complete the rainbow of flavors!
