The P.O.P. build

I have a P.O.P. ( pile of parts )

The basis of this build:
To build a running scooter out of this
and parts laying around.
72cc, used Polini bore with new piston and rings,
8.5 gears, 28mm carb, ct intake, arrow rep exhaust,
and cans paint.

2001 elite dosent run. Bad wiring.

low dollar build low dollar fix

how to get rid of plastic discoloration without painting
tools needed map gas torch and the guts to do it ( don't know if propane gets hot enough

Warnning proceed at own risk try on scrap part first
your basically heating up the top of the plastic
and melting it to get the color back

it isn't perfect but I think it looks better than before

I used Novus plastic cleaner that I got thru Amazon. Worked well for me.

what do you do when you have
2 head light covers both crashed on the opposite side
and don't own a plastic welder ?

acetone (nail polish remover)
look up on youtube " How to fix plastic using only Acetone "
a dremel and some time you can fuze the broken plastic together

Remember this is a low dollar build

to far gone for that notice upper right corner it will get rid some discoloration from bent plastic

the 2001 head light is plastic
well this one is in really bad shape
see if we can fix it
top right how bad it was
top left some filing and wet sanding
bottom some polish and buffing not bad for first try
will try again
( I do have a sealed 25 watt head light if this dose not come out better)

If you're not satisfied with it I have a spare good condition sealed beam light I can send you if you pay shipping. I'd swap it out with the unsealed 01 you have tho.

had a somewhat nice day outside so

Spray cans
Rust-oleum -Black night Metallic & clear

this close up makes it look more silver because of the flash

re sanded
and rebuffed headlight saved now on to turn signals

chipped cracked and scratched and broken mounting tab
lets see what we can do
with sandpaper epoxy and black out taillight film
the start the silver is where a piece of the lens was missing

some tape a vaccum and a dremmel a quick port of the intake

the motor is in
need to spend some money
don't want to run it without temp guage
so first money spent other than paint & paint supplies
