Where to find Elite gasket sets??

Post by starhunter »

I'm in the process of tearing down the engine on the '88 Elite 50. I found vtcycles with a search but they dont list parts that aren't performance and I dont have any part numbers. I just need the gaskets for the jug and head. Let me know!

thanks guys

thanks, I saw you post that the other day but couldnt find my way around the site well enough. Today I found the oem parts lists with prices. Looks like I can buy a complete set for 15 or the two individual pieces for about 3 bucks.

Definitely buy from Discount Honda Parts...great prices.

Here's a tip if you're buying other parts besides gaskets:

Run the part # through bikebandit.com's "The Parts Wizard" link:
http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/p ... ~id~70.asp

You can use the part wizard to check to see if the part has been discontinued or not (DHP's part # search will not tell you that). This way, you don't have to wait 2-3 days for Discount Honda Parts to tell you that. Saves some time on the order...shipping already takes long enough.

They'll have your gaskets...
