My son dropped my 2001 Elite SA50 at a standstill on the kickstart side. Bike was running. The kickstart then proceeded to go down on its own with some cluncking noise and deep grinding. I shut it down.
On trying to restart with starter the kickstart will go down again. I would then have to pull the kickstart back up. i repeated this a couple times. I tried to kickstart and same luck there.
I took the kickstart cover off and see nothing wrong, to my eye. ?
I am a new scooter owner. Someone please Help!

If the clip gets damaged, it will allow the mushroom gear to go more inwards towards the drive face. Most likely that clip was damaged. Should be a cheap fix! I bet there is someone on here with one they could send you. Lots of good guys on here.
That tiny little clip keeps the kickstart in place? WoW!
