Gyro X fuel pump/diaphram to intake hose hookup?

Dudes, does the Spree have a fuel pump diaphram?
Can't figure out my Gyro X connections.
Will try and attach a pic...

The clear hose with the red arrow in your pic goes to the intake manifold for vacuum to run the diaphragm fuel pump.

The other nipple on the intake is for oil to the motor from the oil pump.

The gray hose that is coming from the diaphragm towards the engine is fuel into the carburetor.

The carburetor on yours is similar to mine but maybe not the same model, or different mfg. My carburetor does not have the two nipples(in yellow circles)on it. I could not tell what they are for.

When did you last have it running?

My diaphram has gas in, gas out to carb, hose to intake (not seen) and the other with red arrow (not hooked up) so 4 nipples.

The oil hose goes to carb not intake (that correct? ), then the two others RED circle nipples on carb.

I hooked up gas direct to carb and had it running.
Since I have a petcock l may just bypass the diaphram and cap off the two RED nipples?

Yes, I guess you only have one nipple on your intake manifold so the carb has an "oil injection" nipple on top somewhere. What year is your gyro? Is it an original carburetor(keihin)?
I don't know of any reason there would be more than 3 nipples on the diaphragm pump. You said it was running? where did you have the extra line connected?
It may run ok parked but free-flowing fuel may not keep the bowl full while underway, when giving it throttle. You will have to use the fuel pump if the lines from the tank route below level of the carburetor.
The fuel should enter the carburetor at the top and should not have any incoming or outgoing lines on the side at the bowl level, so the nipples must be for overflow and should be left open but you may want to add a short line out for a drain on both of them. Are any of the fuel system parts aftermarket that you know of? I'm trying to figure out why your set up is so much different from mine.

This 1985 was brought over by a Japanese dude, a Gyro "X"! This model was not exported, it's the workhorse of the Gyro line ie bigger etc.
All stock carb parts.

I'm thinking if I bypass the gas pump with a direct gravity fed line it should be fine.
When it was running before I just had a funnel straight to top of carb.

The carb has 2 overflow lines off it already.

I assume 1 of the extra nipples is for the pump vacuum but a different diameter than the pump nipple?!

The diaphram pump has gas in, gas out, to intake and the red arrow line. I'm trying to figure out where the vacuum nipple attaches to, I would think the intake but nipple diameters are different...
