I am having problems with accelerating and climbing hills and then after a it has warmed up after about 15minutes of riding I can barely make it go. I bought a brand new belt and my spree was running great for about three days. Now it is back to the same old problem. I was wondering if that dark brown rust stuff on the face of the pulley is wearing my belt down excessively fast and causing it to slip. My only other idea is that my center spring is worn. Before I took the clutch apart I wanted to show you the face of the driven pulley (?) and ask you if it should look like this. Is there any way to clean that gunk off, or is it supposed to look like that. If not do I need a whole new clutch. Here are a few photos showing the problem. Thanks.
