turns out it was not because of that fuel. there are pretty good size gouges in the piston and cylender. i also found out there are oversized pistons available fo a spree. .25 over and .50 over. does anyone know how much extra power .50 over will give me?

one question i NEED to know the answer to is, the connecting rod, is there supposed to be any side to side play in it? because there is a little. if not how can i fix this?

If the bore is badly "scored" then you may need the larger overbore from necessity. Expect no more power than you would get from a new set of rings, the enlargement is minimal.

You might want to contact Richardson to see if he has a matched piston/bore set that he'll sell you. Would probably be cheaper, and only require new rings.

Inspect the piston bearings per the manual. Play should be limited.

i emailed paul and he said $35 for a used cylender but that i wanted to get new piston and rings. i decided to go with all new because oversized is cheaper and its only $45 to get it bored and honed. so i sent that stuff out and should get it back next week.
