Biggest tires?

Post by xela_p2004 »

Whats the biggest tire I can put into the rear of my spree? I have a set of extra 90-90-10 tires that I took off my honda metropolitan that are practically brand new with only 500 miles on them, but was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to put bigger tires first. Iam afaird of the clearance issues, I would however welcome the gear change if it brought more top end speed.

You have the luxury of already having the tires. I would mount them and try it out.

Well 90-90-10 will not fit, however I was told by a fellow spree owner that he sucussfully added a 80-90-10 tire on the rear. I will purchase this tire, the size increase should increase my top end but however I will lose some low end accelaration.

I read somewhere that someone put a 3.0x10 on a spree.

Not with a Spree engine.

You can fit a 2.75" wide tire on front, and maybe on back. 3" would hit the forks and side of engine case in back.

Good plan... I don't understand the fascination with wide tires on scoots.
