It is just a pg long with the second cone turned around.

It seems to make power the same as a regular PG long, above 6000rpms, and rev to about 9500 rpms
new best 1/8th mile time 9.647 seconds @67.155 mph 310lbs total weight

so this here looks like the infamous (albeit, hard to track) flip-cone mod?? wish the other pics loaded.. many years and moons after last post..

And in this day of rampant parts unavailability, I've just picked up the only PG Long newly listed on ebay!! woohoo

Have had good success with the Long on old build, but really want to try this flip-cone mod! Scooterswap dyno testing, looks very promising for this mod (skip to 19:20)

and this one (skip to 19:46 Long 1st, Long-flip 2nd 26:29)

Longshot, but if anyone has more tips on doing this flip-cone mod, please let me know! It looks nothing but promising, but don't wana screw it up  heh

cheers
projects galore :nerd:

How is this flip mod done? I have seen a video of one after it was done, and it doesn't look like the 2nd set of photos left here on this post. What is inside the pipe? And where is the cut made at? Is the "cone" like street cone shaped and like the hole filled thing in the photos but in a street cone shape? SInce my PG Long has the baffle rattle, is that a cone inside the pipe, and the welds holding it to the inside rattled until the welds broke.
Where is the cut made to teh original pipe? Then is the idea that its a street cone flipped the wrong way inside stock, and flip it where the small end is towards the exhaust spigot to do it right?

I see where the cut is here on the remaining images, is that the right place to start. Then is the baffle inside like a street cone, flipped with the small end towards the motor, stock. ANd modded, its flipped the other way, then it is welded to the inside of the pipe left after the end is cut off, welded to the inside of the end of that, then weld the end back on again?
