Hey all. My 84 Aero 80 runs great but it’s time to give her some love. Upon removing the heat shield it looks like I may have a failing head gasket (still runs great tho)
Could someone kindly point me in the right direction on where to source a top end gasket kit? And (fingers crossed) maybe a piston kit as well. I heard Cr 80 piston will work. Honestly I’d rather stick with the intended piston if I could. I know I should tear down first as cylinder might be out of round, etc but at least if I knew where to find parts that would be a good start!

Don't remove any parts yet until you get the replacement gaskets in hand. If it's running good now just change the gaskets and check compression. Do not mess with anything else until you do that first. It can be out of round as long as it isn't overheating and/or stalling out after a long run you just keep looking for all the parts and info first or else, well, you know.........
