Metropolitan 2 vs spree.

Post by kurremkarm »

Check out this ebay auction for a metropolitan 2. Why in the world would the thing stock do 24 mph, it has to have something wrong with it, right?

I mean my spree does 30 stock, surely this thing would as well.

They can go faster than 24 just a few restrictors need to come off...I know of one being in the intake, just take out a washer and thats one of them..I think the muffler may also be restricted. I do remember once the restrictors are off it'll hit 35mph or something like that. There are a few other things that can be done but I won't go into detail because they are a bit more advanced.

Who aactually cares about the 2hp/30mph rule? I dont i bet most cops dont know jack s*** about moped laws or licenses anyways.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
