Ok, enough with the yelling. The reed valves should be fully sealed, ie no gaps around the edges of the reeds. If there are gaps it will not run properly. Are there gaps? Also what do you mean by "so hard to turn over". Is something binding thats preventing free movement of the piston?

Sorry I wasnt yelling I had the caps on. It appears to me that i cant see any leaks anywhere. So I ordered a new one just incase but it seems to me that somewhere gas isnt getting in the engine. I am so frustrated with it. I believe since i have been able to get it running even for a short time and then clunks out and on mon I actually got it to idle for about 1 min or so it has to be a fuel somewhere. The fuel valve seems to be working properly the carb was cleaned throughly. So if anyone has anymore ideas i would to hear them.

Did you pull out the jet and actually look through it? Is the needle bent at all? What slot is the clip in on the needle? Also did you blow out the passages with compressed air when you cleaned the carb? Are you sure the float needle is not stuck closed? You need to be sure of these things to try and eliminate all possibilities.

I unscrewed the jet valve and made sure it was cleaned and I used the air compressor and blew out anything that looked like a hole. I don't know what the float needle is. Is that the little pin that connects to the float? I dont know what the needle is on the slot thing

Ok if I put gas right into the carb thru the air intake from the air filter it runs for a couple mins, But it seems when the that gas runs out it dies and wont start again. It sounds like there is no gas getting into the carb. but the bowl is full. because i unscrew the drain and there is gas that empties and then stops.

Yes, slide the pin out that holds the float and the needle vavle will be clipped to it. Make sure that opening is clean and clear, re-assemble. No unscrew the top of the carb (where the cable goes in) and slide the cable out from its hole. Be carefull, the spring will want to go flying. Now gently push up on the needle untill it comes out of the top, there may be a spring clip above it so be careful not to lose anything. On top of the needle there should be 3 slots and a clip in one of them. What slot is the clip in?

Ok, the float is filling for sure? Sounds like gas isn't being pulled into the cylinder on its own. Have you checked the compression? Have you looked at the reed since I told you what to look for.

With a compression gauge. You may be able to borrow one from a parts store. I hope you get it figured out, I am leaving for vacation in the morning so good luck, Ed
