big screw up

God, im so sick and tired of my d*** moped. well i hit that 200 mile mark today. thought break in is done, ill take it for a test spin. Amazing take off. top speed around 40 or so. About the same as Before.
well i ran into an old friend who also has a ped. we got riding all over the place. allot of trails, back road racing , small jumps around my town. about 1-2 hours. of straight riding. we were both low on gas so we decided to ride up into a bigger town near by and get some. right as i was entering town my moped up and died.
Felt like a heat seize, the way it just dies like some one hit the kill switch. coasted to a stop and didn't even try to restart it. I wasn't aware heat seized happened after the first 100 miles (let alone 200 miles of easy break in ) i let it cool for about 5 minutes or so and it didn't want to start. I didn't try much in fear i fried my cylinder. i put in a extra plug i had with me and no difference. it is getting spark. i thought i eather * the cylinder or the reeds gave out.
pushed it home ( took close to 2 hours to get it home.)(very hilly roads suck) once it my yard i tried to start it again. i had to give it some gas and hold the starter for like 10 seconds but it fired up. weird thing is after it fired up it would idle and rev and all. and start easy after that. Im not riding it till i can take off my cylinder and make sure my rings are not baked on.
Any other advice? (ps; it was NOT a hot day out, my oiler is wire tied open , and i have a Ram Air cooling system.)

yeah with my UNI air filter if it gets wet at all it will foal my plug. im thinking of digging up my old box for winter time. but then i have to go out and buy a new filter and what not.
but yeah i got my uni filter and my pipe has 2 baffles drilled out. i think down jetting would be a bad idea. But just to make sure im right here. bigger jet makes me run richer. smaller jet and i run leaner. right?
also what happen to me? was it a heat seize? or wont you know till i look at my rings?

F***!!!
took my cylinder off. tons of scoring. cylinder/piston *. rings looked ok will very little marks.
I cant believe this!!! after all that time breaking it in for nothing. One ride * me over big time. to be honest i dont think im going to fix it this time. ill do the best i can with steal wool and put it all back together. but when it breaks im done. i have got way to much into a scooter that isn't that good.
I might later on bore one of my 3 useless cylinders out a hair more so its good but i think im done for now. putting it back together and going till it breaks.

Dac, you have to fix it. Clean up the walls and put in some fresh rings. You were the first one hear to help me out I would be bummed if you split. By the way TDC means top dead center(although stillspeeding prefers to spell center with an s), it means that the piston is at the end of its travel upward.

no, you said "buy an airbox man, the unifilter looks kool, thats it, you can derestric the sotck airbox and run perfectly through rain show and anything. if u gett even a little watter on it, it will die, it took 8 mins in the snow to make me walk mine home."MySpree wrote:i told you to run your stock box. told you this would happen.
theres nothing there about it being bad for my motor.
