Rain

Post by Jerry »

Athough you may not harm the scooter in any way by being out in the rain, you may kill yourself by hitting standing water and unseen potholes, etc. Also, you are a lot harder for vehicles to see if it's raining that hard too.
Use your head - the bike isn't your only transportation. You have two feet (I assume).

I'm gonna be using my spree all year round too! Im in the same situation, only transportation (besides my feet :p), and I live in seattle... if you know anything about seattle, it rains... alot... i would sugest that when you DO drive in the rain, i know it may be dumb looking, but YOU HAVE TO WEAR SOMTHING THAT CARS CAN SEE!!! like those silly reflective vests that construction people wear. Maybe attach some reflectors on your helmet. When you have a car behind you dont just brake, flutter your brake light, get their attention. Do anything you can to help the other drivers see you. if that means attach reflective tassels to your handlebars (haha) DO IT! Always have your thumb over the horn, if somone gets a little too close use it, and use it often. (in seattle its "illegal" to use your horn because its noise pollution but no cops enforce that.)

lol, diggin up an old subject are we?

"noise polution" is just general loud noise, such as a vehicle will produce "noise pollution" and so will a jack hammer.

i think the tiny little tires on a moped probably shouldnt be ridden to hard in the rain - but i have a question for all you seattle dwellers

i was in seattle once, and the place is extremely crowded - and FULL of huge hills, does the spree have any problem navigating through them?

well since the question was directed toward me, and i get emails when you guys reply in somthing ive written in, i guess ill answer. sprees and hills dont get along too well, around here, and especially in SF. mine was never in excelent condition but some hills i would have to run along side while gassing it just to get up and over.

Not much, I got that email from ya, but for some reason I cant reply. Anyways I got a better job working for 13 an hour, 4/10s (m-th) with optional friday straight to o/t. Only thing that sucks is i have to get up at 4:20 in the morning to be at work by 5:45 and stay till 4:15 with an optional 2 hours o/t a day. So most days im there for 12 hours.

But all in all im good, moved out and looking for a place i can take weekend classes for web1 :)

Thanks for everything Jason, keep in contact.
