MORE Non-Honda Stuff needed.

Post by wikked_spree57 »

Okay... So I parted out the DEMM moped. Now I have acuired a 1979 Motobecane 50V, and a 1978 AMF Roadmaster. I need ti figure out why the motobecane does not have spark. The AMF engine needs to be completely gone through. So basically I'm looking for parts for both of these mopeds. If you have anything let me know, if it's of dire importance (such as a service book or a coil/flywheel) I'll probably buy it.

Check the points on the motobecane it old enough that it probably lacks electronic ignition.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

They are probably under the flywheel.

Well, I did get the flywheel off and clean the points... nothing still. Might have a faulty coil. I don't know how to work on these old ones all that well, I suck with mopeds in general. Stick me in front of a scooter and I can at least tell you the problem. Stupid old style ignition...
