Thanks guys!!!!!! The holes in my airfilter did bog it down.

I've got a http://www.YouTube.com/TeamGeekMo site were I'm posting the videos I took. There's a few more to be posted. ((Be kind, I'm a photographer not a videographer))

but what is the video? its just someone opening the drain tube for a second..?

Yeah ^_^;; We kinda didn't know what we were doing... We didn't know what that screw was for.

My first moped was a yamaha jog. i got it from a friend for 25$ a few years back. This was before i even knew what a piston was. let alone how a moped worked. Its very help full to look at picture (or video) guilds how to swap out parts and stuff like that.
You learn allot of terms and the location of parts. Another thing that really helped is downloading the service manual for my bike. Lucky this site has it for free download.

I really cant believe how much i have learned over the past year or so. My yamaha had something in the reeds (i think, the rings could have blown im not sure) and i tore it down to 1,500 pieces and didn't know how to put it back to gather.
Now i can take apart all my bikes, find the problem, fix the problem, put it back to gather, all with out breaking a sweat.

I wanted so badly to fix up my Yamaha QT50 but I didn't have the guts too and my dad was busy working. Now I regret not trying hard enough.

But, just like you, I am learning a lot about how scooters work.

It's fun, you will acquire tools that help the process. and get great satisfaction of doin it yourself!

Keep us posted on your progress and even if they sound dumb, ask questions.

I too am working for the first time on a little scoot - my new 87 spree. I know NOTHING about mechanics and am having to learn from the groung up.
Your posts encourage me, along with all the helpful folks here who are nice enough not to point and laugh at my questions.

When i first started on this site, i didnt know a single things about motors. Every one has to start some wear. This site help me learn so much in the pass year. I went from knowing nothing to being have to tare apart/rebuild my motor in a few hours.
Ill try to help you with anything i can.
