Guys: Anyone got a good online source for the 39mm socket used on the Spree clutch? Link in Tech Docs is dead.
Thanks!

Know a mechanic? Snap-on dealer might be able to order one. Nevermind snap on only has the 38 and 40 mm ones(that and they probably cost more than a new clutch).
http://irtoolsales.com/ingersoll-rand-m ... 6m39u.html Pricey fancier than needed and in 3/4 inch drive, their cheaper standard and deep sockets only come in 38 and 40.
Craftsman doesnt make a 39.
Has somebody actually measured the nut to be 39 or what? It seems like an odd size to put on something is is in all other areas very easy to work on.
1.5 inch sockets are 38.099999999999994 millimeters.

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Thats 39.6875mm, being standard it is incredibly easy to find and you can probably get it in 1/2 inch drive.Farfignugin wrote:Found the closest you can get:
1 9/16" 12-point Socket; 3/4" Drive
Item Number from Grainger Catalog: 1AP53
Price: $29.20
There ya go...
http://irtoolsales.com/ingersoll-rand-s ... 1-916.html ~$23 shipped ups ground, 1/2 inch drive so it fits most impact guns.

39mm is the size according to the manual, and it measures the same. They are nearly impossible to find anywhere; most companies make 38mm and 40mm.
A 38mm socket will *just* fit with some forcing, but eventually it will trash the nut from spinning off. I used one for awhile and took it back (free tool rental from an auto place); wasn't pleased with how well it worked.
Good find on the 39mm Ingersoll-Rand and the 1 9/16 SAE. I'll try to run down the latter when I need one next.
