LOL, wait, I am a dumb @ss? I pointed out your mistakes in your comments on the defective final drive gear set and I am dumb? Falsifiying info? lol

Look, I am here to help anyone that asks me, I don't want to see someone that CAN'T afford to waste $45 to $100 on some variator that will do nothing and you get upset? What? You sell these variators? Have stock in the company that makes them? I have seen many posts of newbies including mine asking "What can I do to just speed up my Elite 5 or 10 MPH cheap without a Big Bore Kit or tons of money" I just spent some serious cash and now I know the Vari was a waste of $45. I can't imagine you spent what you did on yours. I wouldn't share that with someone that knows how this really works.

I don't know everything, I want a real 70 mph speedo, not a digital bike speedo. I saw one on ebay and DAC pointed out to me that it was different and for a DIO only and he was right and I stated that and thanked him. I am however working on one REAL speedo and I know my options. I can buy a universal digital one for $125 made for street and dirt bikes, really cool. I want to keep my stock look, so I am now looking into the possibility of redoing the speedo's gearing to slow it down, so the face KPH are actually real time MPH. I am sure you know what needs to be done so that the 40 KPH are actually 40 mph. An easy maybe do-able cheap fix, but I won't share that with you. Oh if you have a connection to a great 70 mph speedo for my elite, I welcome it really as I have looked all over.

Actually, I won't say what I think your level of mechanics are to be, although I have a few on my mind, back yard lawnmower mechanic comes to mind. You never stated what school you took training at. I will say this, I can show my FAA A&P License to anyone that wants to verify my claims. I gradeuated at George T Baker Aviation school in Miami Fl, also hold an overseas CAA type rated license valid on an MD-80 Boeing 717 series aircraft. I have more knowledge in my small pinky than you have in your whole body, ever will. I have trained here in the USA and overseas at DanAir in England. On that note I will end it on this,
A VARIATOR of the same diameter as your stock WILL NOT give you more top speed period! Duhhhhhh !!! You can change the front sprocket on your moutain bike all you want, if you replace it with one of the same diameter, you get the same speed. Pedaled at the same speed that is, I wanna be specific for you to understand.

Ok Dac, close this thread, those that want to throw away $$ on a variator, do so. You have been warned !! LoL
U sure your screen name isn't stillspreeding?
