Quick question (kenny Help! )

Post by Dac »

ok, i got some new spark plugs and did a plug chop. 100% perfect.
But i dont want perfect, i want it to be a little rich. I know you can set the little clip in the top of the carb. up or down to make it a hair rich or lean.

Now, im having a dumb * moment and i cant seem to remember if it is up or down that makes it rich. any one know?

(come on Kenny_McPlugChop ! i know you can help me! :lol: )

Up=lean, down=rich.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

actually moving the clip wont make it richer or leaner, the position of the clip indicates the transition between the pilot and the main. Its usually adjusted for a mid throttle bog or hesitation. Remeber the pilot is the first 1/4 of throttle, then its the needle, then the main is for full throttle. If you want it richer, a bigger jet is needed or a easier way is to restrict your airbox just a bit with tape.

thanks for the info that is really helpful.

my problem is, i dont remeber what jet i have in there. I know its something drilled. Maybe a 95 or 88 or something like that. I want to move up to jet 100 anyway.
Once i get my new bore kit i will be upgrading. But no since and ruining this one since its perfect.
