Can I run without a bystarter on my 86 spree?

I need to order one, but havent yet.

Also, can someone tell me the correct amount to turn the screws on your carb? I cant figure it out. in order from top to bottom as i dont know what each screw does

No you cant
1 7/8 turns on the standard head, turn the phillips till it sounds nice and the clutch disengages.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

You can't unless you use the barrel from the bystarter to plug up the holes in the chamber, then use a rubber stopper or something to plug off the top.

I have a carb where the guy sealed up the bystarter hole with melted candle wax. Good luck cleaning that out.

Actually the carb came off the engine you sold me Mopedman. Remember the guy had rigged up a manual choke on the rubber intake runner?
