89 elite airbox

just noticed that i have no airbox, or filter on my carb. have no idea why it was running so well without but now after reading a little i am concerned.... did a little searching but no luck wondering if you guys know where i can find an airbox/filter for my scoot? thanks. also still will not start after running out of gas.

Might be tuned to do so, do a plug chop and find out, but even if it isnt lean your still getting dirt in the motor. http://www.hondapartshouse.com/
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

i hate to even say this, but if your bike is stock and missing the hole filter...

just call them up and tell them you need an air filter for a 89 stock carb. It would also be smart to upjet.

Normally i would never say get an aftermarket on a stock bike, But buying a hole new box and filter would cost a ton. A good UNI after market filter is only like $15. more with shipping but still waaaaay cheaper then honda OEM.

You present a good point, now tha i think of it AM is th way to go at this point.
