Fuel pump thread!!!
If I purchase a new floor board gas tank, ( same model as our brother moped, the ruckus and zoomer uses) should I get the corresponding fuel pump and low fuel sensor for that tank, or do u guys think that my 99' fuel pump, lines, and sensor will work alright? Thanks

this tank?
dude, i dont even know were to start....
1- Why? are you doing it for looks or are you doing it for performance?
Cuz if you are doing it for performance you are wasting your money.
2- Yes, you will need brand new everything!
Fuel pump, the sencors. About everything shown in the picture you will need.
You will also need the knowledge to rewire all of it to work with your wiring harness.
3- i never got the chance to tear into my buddy's ruckus, but going by the diagram i don't see any Vac. line. So you will have to mod your carb to accept it.
Dude, i love how you want to change every last part on your Dio.
If i had the money i would be modding the * out of mine also, But honda put stuff were it is for a reason.
The gas tank floor board came only with the brand new 4-strokes. And the cylinder on those are downward facing And the carb is on top. Its a hole new engine all together. Im sure the floor board gas tank works for those just fine. But for the life of me i cant see why you would do it to a Dio.

Also I got this bike for free so i'm willing to invest th money into it that i wouyld have into it if I had bought it.
And I'm taking off all the lights and stuff and redoing the electrical to just be:
1. Kill/ run switch
2. Electric start
3speedometer
and maybe down the road i'll get fuel sensors and oil sensors, and new HID light system. but for now i'm kinda going for the bare and simple.I'm gonna tuck the battery and electrical into my seat compartment for a clean look, no matter what I have to rig up
And ,DAC, I'm doing this:
1.Because I like the look.
2.It;s a lower center of gravity.
3.I personally hate the look of the dios, so yes I'm gonna modd the s*** out of mine.
4.I like to have one of a kind stuff.

I would love to see the day you actually do just ONE of the things you've made a thread about on here. Anyone can talk, and the questions you're asking and ideas you're tossing out there are not things that would be asked by a person with the ability to actually bring those ideas into reality.

BTW, you keep using the word invest. It's not an investment, you will not see any gain or even a significant percentage on return when you try to sell it.
You're also posting about for all practical purposes, useless mods. If you want to do custom aesthetic modifications, you would be better off not starting with an old Honda Elite.
There's no reason to call names, we can all wait and see if you actually do anything that you've mentioned. But like I said already, it sounds like you're dreaming and more than likely don't have the ability to complete the suggestions you've mentioned because if you did, they would have already been done.
