FYI - Honda still makes rear baskets for scooters...

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

FYI - Honda still makes rear baskets for scooters...

White - 08145-GN261
Black - 08145-GN271

The Honda dealer will tell you it fits Elite 80, because that's all they have it listed for. Honda publication MII 938404959 (8710) dated November 1987 which comes in the box with the basket lists it to fit Elite 50 '87, Spree, Aero 50, Aero 80, Elite 80, Elite 125, Elite 150, Elite 250. The basket and brackets seem pretty universal, like they'd fit on anything. It should run $30 - $35 brand new, which is better than you'll find on eBay. Took 2 minutes to install.

Now I can ride around with the cat:

Or a beagle:

Or even a baby:

Go git you some!

If I could find my old bungie net, I could probably tote 2 12 packs, no problem.

Most excellent on the basket and the beer! SNPA is one of my favorites.

I thought I might be able to find my basket at my parents place but it must have been thrown out. I took it off when I first bought the Spree in 87 because it didn't look cool. Now I will be buying another one so I don't have to place stuf between my feet.

Great find!

I still have both the front and rear baskets (and even the windshield!) for my '84 Aero. The guy I bought the scooter from pulled them off when he first got it and handed them to me as I was loading up the scooter. I remember him saying something like "I doubt you'll want these, but they go with the scooter".
