I know I should have 2 cycle engine in oil tank under seat, but was reading in the manuel about using 10w-30 in the crankcase? My 87 spree has been sitting for about 15 years. Already cleaned tthe gas tank & carb, put a new plug, but would like to change all the fluids. Could you let me know how, and if there is more than one oil used in my spree.
Thanks.
Do I have 2 differnt oils in '87 honda spree?

... not true.... you destroyed the engine by using 10w-30 and it just happened to finally die after you put the right oil in it, i wouldn't use that yamaha junk ether i would use gn2 form Honda or bel-ray

Exactly, the 4 stroke oil was probably holding the motor together.mopedman wrote:justice4kurt182 wrote:i used 10-30 in the tank under my seat and never had a problem untill i was told to use 2 stroke injector oil. changed the oil to the way too expensive yamaha 2 stroke injector oil then my engine destroyed it self...

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
