Now a new problem...

Post by Mackeral61 »

85 Spree cranks right up runs fine (for a while) then cuts off...let it sit for a bit (or push home) and it eventually cranks right up. Sometimes in less than 5 mins...sometimes a bit longer. Once I was riding around the neighborhood for about 15 mins, stopped to talk with a friend, it was shut off for about 10 mins and wouldnt crank up...starting pushing it home and it cranked about 60 seconds later and I drove it on home.

Suggestions?

This sounds like exactly what happend to me when i ran out of gas once. So im wondering if its a fuel issue, gunk in the lines or crap at the bottom of your tank. Try some seafoam in with your next fillup.

Clean carb, check plug color.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
