Battery Issue I think. Please HELP!!

Might be a stuck throttle cable, clean the carb and readjust the carb.

Turn your idle screw (the one that pokes out and is phillips head) out a 1/4 turn. This will slow down the idle speed.

Update: Got some gas in the tank (it was low). and jumped it. still doing the same thing. (not turning over) So i'm guessing it's a dead battery or I'm an idiot at jumping.

If I sent you audio of how it sounds while trying to start would that be useful? I could be describing it poorly?

where is this screw located, and i'll need detail I am very much a noob when it comes to this.

It's the topmost visible screw on the visible side of the carburetor, a phillips head, sticking out a bit with a spring. It's right above the two flathead screws. You don't need to remove the body panel to adjust it, but to get better familiarized you may want to.

is this something that would be vital to solve before I get the battery up and working again. (just from how it happened I'm thinking the idle thing was just a fluke)

as far as not being able to jump the battery does that mean to battery is shot and i need a new one or could charging it.

also did you want to hear it? I've got a wav and or MP3 file of if I can send if you'll let me.

huh? are you saying it should turn over during a jump even if i don't have a battery...? so if i can't then what is wrong?

If you know anyone with a cheap or junk Spree, try to get the kickstart, and fit one to yours. They can be a lot of help at the right time.

A kickstart conversion requires the outer front pulley half and the belt cover/kickstart from and 86/87.
