Tools needed?

Post by adark248 »

I'm brining my Aero home soon since I got her running now. What tools do I need to get to do general maintenance. I have a toolbox with normal stuff in it like screw drivers, one adjustable wrench, etc.

I want to be able to keep this thing running, but only stock. I don't plan on cracking the case or doing any kind of mod that requires those crazy gear holders, etc.

I'd appreciate it if someone could list off a few essential tools for plug chops, general maintenance, maybe some "must have" electrical items for future use in case I need to test wires or anything else that will be helpful with the most common kind of 2 stroke problems.

Thanks!

Plug socket
Small metric socket/ratchet set
2 stroke oil
10-40 oil(gearbox)
wd40(for cables)
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

10mm is a must for about everything these days.....but I'm pretty sure I used an 8 and 12 on my Spree also...I dontthink I ever needed my short well sockets so I had the deep well the whole time. #2 Long shank phillips and straight...long shank needle nose for the clips on the fuel lines. Sometimes patience is a good tool to keep in your box.
