83 Aero Questions

Does anyone know if some parts are interchangeable between the Aero and Spree? I need to get a new carb and fuel tank and want to know if a carb that is for an 85 would work on a 83 or not, and what the differences are.

No such thing as an 83 spree, 99.99% sure they made them 84-87.

Nono. I have an 83 Aero and I am wondering if parts from newer Aeros or Sprees can be used on the older Aeros like the one I have (I use newer in a relative sense. Newer compared to my 83).

My bad, spree parts wont fit, 84 aero parts probably will 85+ probably wont.

83/84 are the same bike pretty much. as i understand it the parts are interchangeable. not 100% sure about 85-87 bikes, but I know that a lot of the parts are not interchangeable with the 83 and 84. if you do get 85-87 parts and they work let me know about it. that would make things easier!

83/84 are weird years.

The Spree carb would probably bolt up, not sure. The Spree carb will bolt up to other Elites, HOWEVER everyone that I know that has tried this reports reduced performance, even after re-jetting, so you've been warned.
