Side Covers ...

Post by mikehelms »

Hello everyone,

Will the side covers from an '87 Spree fit an '86? They look similar, but I noticed that the left-side cover on the '87 has a cutout at the back that the '86 doesn't, and the little front "air vent" looks different. Not sure if these are just cosmetic differences ...

87 has a built in petcock cover, i think you can swpa both at the same time and have it work, been a while since I have compared the two.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

They'll fit, but not perfectly. The fitment issue will be around the tail light, but they will work.

Yea, might need to use a 87 tailight/turn signal cluster
