and i didnt like the smell too much ;)

plus i wasnt exactly on a "suitable" road to be doing those speeds.

im sure with a new clutch, and a good road, it would do 145.

yeah i believe it mann, stay safe and dont try it lol
145?? I got my Camry(V6 and Manumatic 6-Speed) up to 162. :)

I got my 86 spree to 37 mph. Pulley mod, and a clean exhaust.

I ported the engine and milled the head on the old motor. Only to find that the cylinder is shot and the piston is too. So I replaced the motor with a spare one off an 85 I have. The old motor still runs, it's just a hard start.

Yup, that sounds more like it. My 2000 Camaro SS don't like a 160.

The top speed on my Spree is usually around 27 mph. Today on the way home I hit 32 mph!

What's up with that?

Luck of the draw. Depends on temp, humidity, barometric pressure, wind. Two strokes are very sensitive to atmospheric conditions. That's why racers are constantly juggling jets. Mine will vary from 40 to 45 from day to day with no changes.
