1987 Spree Do I Buy It Need answer fast

Post by Ether42 »

I have an offer on what appers to be a very nice 1987 Spree
He wants 800 W/ Tag and Title
Is this fair ?
What is the most realistict MPH on this
I am good w/ cars so I plan on modding this, what is a good reference guide to help me along my path to 35MPH Spree goodness

Thanks
ps I know I could have done forums searches but I need an answer ASAP

yeah I thought 800 seemed a little high not by much but a little bit
but it is in perfect condition starts right up
nice and clean
I think I am going to get it
I don't know much about scooters
But I assume I should start w/ a more air in and out
And maybe bigger squirters in the carb (if it can be done)
that should pick me up to around 35 ???
that would be the target speed at least

if I could hit 35 I would be really pleased w/ that I don't need much else

Would you say 800 is unreasonably high, Or just a tad.
It seems like an OK buy considering he is also getting it tagged for me which is around 50 in Illinois

$800 is too high $600 is more like it. you can gear a spree to go 40 but you will be push starting the thing going downhill.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
