no no no no, dont get a pglong, its cost like $140+ and is made for 90cc setups. You put it on a stock bike and the results wont be that great.
your better off getting a high speed pulley kit and 9:1 gears.
VTCycles
(808) 593-7733
They have all the best prices and parts. Plus they have great customer service. You can get a pulley and gears for $105 after shipping, Put on a stock unrestricted bike and you will go 47-50mph.
Dont get me wrong, if your building a full racer a PGlong is a ok pipe, but putting one on a stock bike is a real waste of money. You can get allot more speed for allot less cash going with 9:1 gears.

really dont waste your time. Also is it possible to premix my fuel and oil? If so what ratio should I do?
The stock oil injector is really good, it puts the right amount of oil, i mean, why go premix and make fueling up more of a hazel?
I did premix for a while because i thought it was better, but i ended up switching back. Im sure glad i did too.
But if you really want to go premix this is what you do...
-remove all oil lines
-Remove oil injector and replace with a "oil pump plug" from vtcycles (like $12)
-Remove oil tank
-Plug off the oil hole on the carb.
then premix at 40:1 or 50:1 But yeah, i really avoid going premix.

Dac you seem to be the man around here, I was thinking about a big bore in the future. How much would I have in making my scooter as beastly as i can? How much of a hassle is it? And if i just go with the route you told me high speed pulley and gears will that hurt my low end and hill speed?
Thanks all
Thanks all
there is a few common ways to mod elites
Cheap way...
Highspeed pulley+9:1 gears $105 shipped from VT
takes about an hour to put it all together, but you do need a press to press the old gear off and the new gear on.
Top speed will jump to 50mph. No break in is needed, just put them on and go. Keeps your bike quiet, this is good for allot of people because of the area they live. Since your using the stock cylinder you can hold it at full throttle for long times without seizing. Take off will drop some, but not as bad as you would think.
72cc way...
72cc bore kit, 28mm carb, intake, tail pipe, gears, other trans stuff. Your looking at like $500 in parts, install would take most of a day. But you would gain some serous speed.
Top speed, take off, mid range, they all jump up. Top speed could be anywhere from 60-65mph+ pending on if its turned right, and how you turn it.
Bad things about that is, you have to do a huge break in, going slow for like 300-400 miles. Then there is the hole tuning thing, if your bikes not set up right you could blow your bore kit really fast. It does get kinda load, that might be bad pending on where you live. You also have to be careful not to over heat the bore kits, or it will seize. Meaning you cant hold it full throttle for long times. But if you can get it build all tuned it right, then its totally worth it.

9 : 1 gears are for a stock a derestricted engine which i rode for 28,000 mi. 8 : 1 is for city riding and 7:3:1 is for backroad riding, you can use the stock exhaust and stock air filter just deresrtict them, plenty of carb choices from 19mm to 28mm, in the long run if you build it right it will take of you
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
Red= Yes, 9:1 is a really good choice.maddog wrote:9 : 1 gears are for a stock a derestricted engine which i rode for 28,000 mi. 8 : 1 is for city riding and 7:3:1 is for backroad riding, you can use the stock exhaust and stock air filter just deresrtict them, plenty of carb choices from 19mm to 28mm, in the long run if you build it right it will take of you
Blue= maybe after modding, but for a stock bike 9:1 is the best. I run 8.44:1 on my mostly stock bike and my friends bike with 9:1 is just as fast. Its all about the fact that a motor can do more with 9:1. with 8.44:1 or lower the motor isnt able to push it all the way.
Green= Also right, stock carb/stock pipe/stock airfilter, they all work good with the 9:1 combo.
Black= yeah, allot of different carbs can be bought, but a stock carb is fine for the 9:1 setup. and a 28mm carb is the best for a 72cc bike. And they do make 30mm carbs too.
