blown piston & cylinder

Post by brad_659 »

its all screwed...it was locked up and when i pulled it apart the rings were fused to the piston and it was all gashed up so needless to say i need a new piston and cylinder....i was told by a friend that a big enough honda powersports dealer should be able to get me what i need...or does anyone know where else to find one...the for sale section here in the forum is a little picked over for pistons....im taking offers on piston/ring/cylinder full set-ups if you have one......so if anyone has any way to help me get my spree back on the road then let me know.

Check ebay or uspmale on this forum. Uspmale sells used bits and is good to deal with.

I have a freshly honed cylnder off an 89 sb50p if that would work for you. I'd buy new piston/rings, worth the $50 if would cost.

Year? model?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
