they might be out, but they get them in from time to time, only way to tell is to call them and ask.

Yeah I dunno if you guys call japanese parts jdm or not, for japanese domestic market, but that's what all the civic guys call them.

Can you install those with the us rear plastic pieces or do you also need the japanese rear end plastics?

there are the japan ones, but those are getting kinda hard to find. i have been trying to track me down a set for a while.
Difference is they have a side scoop on the right hand side, and small vents in the back.

Heres something you might not know, all this "Japan" stuff is not japan at all. The honda elite was made only in the USA.
Where all this japan stuff is coming from is from a taiwan kymco DJ50...

The Kymco DJ50 has the same shape/mounts as the elite rear panels. This is where the so called "japan" taillights come from. Its also where the "japan" rear body panels come from. And, even the "japan" head set.
None of its really Japanese. Its just what people call it. And since you cant buy a Kymco DJ50 in the USA ( only taiwan) People just tend to call them Japanese.

Ohh, I did not know that at all. Did japan have any kinda scooter that shared parts with the us elite? I guess I'll have to start searching for the kymco model instead of japanese elite. Lol

So, why do they call them dio?

Just wanna learn all the lingo so I don't sound like a complete noob when I'm looking for parts.

Is there any way you can edit your post from...

Code: Select all

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JA...
to like....

Code: Select all

Ebay Link
it helps to keeps the pages from being way to wide.

Japan didnt have the elite, they had the Dio. Super Dio. And the Dio ZX.
The bikes didnt look a ton like the elites, but they where about the same
shape and size.
See, Why people call the 94-01 honda elite "Dios" is because they have
the same motors as the honda Dios from japan.

And, for the record. Then info i just gave you not a ton of people know...
so when trying to find parts via forums or moped shops, you will have
better luck using slang like "jdm panels" or JDM lights.
