1/2" auto belt

Why won't this spree mod work on an elite, is it because the the variator will squeeze the belt off of the pulley since it is thicker or what ?

A spree trans only has a variable rear pulley this is for keeping tension on the belt, an elite has a variable front pulley to control gearing. Putting the wider belt on a elite will just make the trans start in a higher gear(no pros at all) with a spree however it will ride higher on the front and spread the rear to ride lower, effectively increasing the fixed gear ratio.

Yep SB uses a spree trans.
