i've cleaned my carburetor and when i started er up it ran full out it stalled, seems like i have no control over throttle, could it be the cable?

Slide in backwards, cable not connected properly to the slide or a broken cable. Of the three, I will put my money on Number 1.

Take the slide out again and turn it until it drops in all the way down.

This is just a generic picture from something else but the carbs look somewhat alike.

Take the slide cap back off and pull the insides out. The slider should only go in one way, most slides have a notch in them. Make sure its in the right way and it moves up and down freely inside the carb.

I would write more but I am on my way to work.

There is a slot that runs the length of the slide and a nub inside the carb, the 2 must align and the slide must drop in deep or what you describe happens.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
