Specific Fuel Line Tube Diameter?

Post by Remy »

I'm about to replace my old rusty tank with a clean replacement, and figured I might as well replace the clogged fuel lines as well. I did a search and could not find a direct answer as to whether or not there is a specific diameter for the fuel line tubes? Can I just grab any arbitrary hoses from Home Depot or should I use a designated automotive line? I'm not trying to get overly cerebral about the whole thing, just want to do it right the first time through. Thanks.

Just take the line off and take it with you to an auto parts store. They can size it for you there and cut you the length needed.

I did this with my vacuum hose and it was about 69 cents to replace.
