Elite 50 Muffler Interchange

Anyone know if a 1994 Elite 50 muffler will fit on a 1988 Elite 50. I read somewere that only 88 to 93 motor stuff interchanges. I need to know for sure before i buy one. Thanks

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

doesn't a dio come out straight forward while earlier elites come out at an angle?
