Post by innieTT »

I ruined my old stock air filter, I need a new one. However there is no Honda dealership anywhere close by. What can I use as a replacement air filter element? THank you, -JD

Air Filter

Post by PackerFan »

Update:
I called my local Honda dealer and they had two in stock.
Wasn't sure if they carried parts for the Spree.
I'm good to go!

filter

Post by smitty »

just got one from honda parts in Northern Ind. 1 800 828 5498 but unless you're ordering other things the shipping kills you,,filter was only about $3 but I ordered other parts...the filter is about 1/2 inch thick foam like any small engine filter and lays flat across the box. Prob could make one...Smitty

yes there is. not sure where he got it but noiseguy did this. its proven to leave the stock airbox alone with better results it seems.

K&N RC2540 fits, and is available at auto parts places that sell K&N. Expensive at $20, you can do better at an MC shop with an EMGO pod but these are easy to get.

I haven't got mine to work yet, although many have. You need a larger jet for this. For the $, I would get the rest straigtened out first.

it would be better for (and look cooler) if you got a cone filter and just ditched your stock air box, the cone filter goes right onto the carb... but then youll have to re-jet
