Ok, so I can't get the d*** tire back on the wheel. I don;t have a tire spoon...and the local tire place wants 10 bucks for it. Because a roommate moved out, I'm totally broke, so...10 bucks is a small fortune for the next few weeks.
So...gimme some helpful hints on how to get the d*** thing back on, PLEASE. I need to get to work on this thing.
TIRE EMERGENCY...help.

Use plenty of lube.
Then try and find something that can lever it on, bit by bit.
I'm sure you've already thought of using a screwdriver. With the right technique and enough lube, you should be able to get it on.
I worked in tire shops for a long time, and used to do all kinds of weird tires.
Take advantage of the drop center in the wheel, where it has a smaller diameter.

Good advice. I managed to do mine without any sort of lube. Just use 2 thick long handled screw drivers and go a very little bit at a time. Take a look at the wheel. There is the outer most ring that the tire sits inside of, then after that there is a ridge that the tire sits on. When you're mounting the tire you don't want it on that ridge, you want it on the very middle part. You might think that the added angle will make it harder, but trust me it won't. Take your time and go slow and its a piece of cake.Chisholm wrote:Use plenty of lube.

Got it on...finally.
It really sucks because I couldn't get the nut off that keeps the wheel on...so man, it was quite a fiasco getting the tire off enough to get a tube on, and then stuff the tube in there and then get the tire back on. I mean, holy s***, son. A few hours, and very sore arms.
Anyway, I have to inflate the tire...is there a canned air for tires I can buy?
