check ur air filter element. it might be in crumbling pieces or really dry. The air/gas mix is very picky on a spree. If the element is just dry. soak it. if u don't want to deal with it. do what i did and put electrical tape over half of the air intake. this made my spree run. after sitting since 1980.

p.s i got a new air element for 4 bucks. worth it

Spring, washer and O-ring! Geez. How come the parts pages only show the air screw and the spring? I did not notice a washer or o-ring during the carb cleaning, I'll have to check that next time I get to work on the Spree.

Thanks!

Nobody forewarned me on the correlation between 2-strokes and women. Now that I know how delciate 2-strokes are, I'll take even more care in nurturing and caressing my Spree back to life.

All my other bikes are four strokes, you guys were right.

The O-ring is very small and fits over the 'throat' of the screw. Examine your screw carefully - it might still be there, it's easily over looked.

To be honest, I don't know about the washer; I don't think my setup has one, but don't go by that because the carb on my bike was likely buggered by a PO.

It's mind boggling how many little bodges and crimes previous owners can mette out on a bike with only 1450 miles. :?

I just sold a 73 CB350. I have owned a couple of them, they are good bikes. The twins are fun and the fours are even better.

You really should have the washer on there too or else the o-ring won't expand properly to seal the opening.
