Before I write you off as a deadbeat, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps you're indisposed, occupied with important matters or, heaven forbid, suffering something untoward.
I kindly sent you a brand new petcock for little more than the cost of postage: $10.00. That's at least half of what they're available for on Ebuy. Departing from my usual procedure of requesting money in advance, I promptly sent the unit before receiving payment.
After delivery was confirmed, I followed up with a payment reminder, to which you replied on 10/12/08:
"Sorry, I'm out of the country right now but I'll be back this thursday. My landlord said I had a piece of mail which was returned though so that might be yours. I'll just mail it back out."
A week later - on 10/17/08, you wrote me this:
"so funny thing... i sent the money order to myself... ". Then you recomfirmed my address which I replied was correct. You answered thusly:
no problem. going to the post office now.
Today is 10/31/08. Trick or treat! Haven't received the money yet!

Now, there's but one small state between us - Oregon - and recent experience suggests packages, let alone envelopes, sent standard USPS don't take two weeks to be delivered. And though I followed up one last time via private email, I've yet to receive a reply from you.
Bottom line: $10 isn't going to break me; it's the principle of the matter. And though our Moderator reminds us we should take care in dealings with members on this forum, I thought it might be worthwhile relating the status of this particular transaction publicly.
So, if you find it within yourself to make the honorable decision in this matter, it would be most appreciated. But, if for some unfortunate circumstance that's not practical, please excuse my bothering you.

Sincerely,
CaptDan
