That's a cool looking little bike.

Bizarre. I'm looking forward to the engine pics. Someone's swapped something into your scoot, but I have no idea what type of engine it is from that pic. Once we get better pics we should be able to ID it here.

I seriously doubt that's a legit Honda model: Why not?

1) Honda didn't run injectors on their highest output bikes (VF750F/1000F) of that era, can't see them running them on a Spree.

2) Never seen a turbo, stock, on any Honda bike. Again, why the Spree?

Same above 2 arguments hold for an overseas model shipped here. The Elite/Aero 50 of that era would have been a much better candidate for a big engine; better frame and chassis. Get a pic of the headbadge (VIN plate on headtube); anything legit from Honda would be noted there.

Looking forward to those engine pics.

What about the CX500 turbo?

If this thing really has a turbo and fuel injection, I won't believe it until I see a pic of it with its side panels off. If Honda really did make this thing, why didn't they put an expansion chamber on it for more power? Can a spree even have enough exhaust moving out the cyl. to drive even a tiny turbo? How is this turbo cooled?

Doh! Good catch! I'd forgotten about those. Were those even sold in the States, or just Canada?

I believe so. A friend had a '81 CX500, non turbo. I think that the CX500 turbo's didn't sell too well in the US, or something of the sort. :D

I see a standard stock Spree exhaust which would make a turbo useless. I also am gonna cal BS on this.
