88 Honda Pal hesitates

My Pal at full throttle when it gets into it's higher speed range and high rpm it starts to hesitate like it is lacking fuel any ideas before I start ripping it apart.

Check your spark plug.

A good carb cleaning seems to be the place to start after that.

Its running lean turn the air fuel mix screw on the carb to the left at least a quarter turn maybe more might have to adjust the Idle after that too

The screws are for idle only.
