Does your Spree/Elite already run great, and you're trying to make it quicker/faster? Need a monster motor swap? Discuss your ideas here.

Water injection

Post by Kenny_McCormic »

Is it correct thinking that a vacuum operated fuel pump would pump MORE liquid as you increased RPM?

Just brainstorming.

Fuel pump pumps water into small jet(like a old idle jet or something) blowing into the airbox LID. Air filter atomizes water, pump feeds more water with more RPM, Spree goes faster.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

DioSpeedDemon tried this a while back but didnt get anywhere with it. I think its a good idea but its extremely hard to pull off.

for water injection to be effective, you have to use a high pressure pump to spray into the manifold.on cars we use the 150psi pump for the na and turbo engines.it itomizes better and we also use a alcohol water or methenol water mixture.cheapest is the windshield washer fluid from walmart.it is triggered by either tps switch or pressure sensor switch.in the scooters case you would have to use a manual switch or pulse sensing switch for every spark pulse.

it accually wouldn't go faster but it would keep the cylinder cooler and clean the piston and exhaust port.with water injection you can run a higher compression without the engine getting hotter and with alcohol or methenol add it raises the octane rating.

i don't think so, just like the the turbo charger on ebay that will not work on a 2 stroke, fuel injection 2 strokes only work on bone stock engines which is the ultimate marine engine
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!

he actually did pull it off on his early SE builds, and claimed it worked quite well saw gains in midrange when activated but mostly what baka said, its meant just to cool engine more.

but he never saw gains on his dio builds..

I was very interested in this a while ago and talked to him quite a bit.
projects galore :nerd:

Water injection

I don't think water injection won't work on a 2 stroke. cause it will mess up the airfuel ratio, also 2 stroke relys on oil mixed gas to lubricate the crankshaft and the con rod, 2 strokes don't have and oil sump like 4 stroke scooters....
