Talk about degrees of seperation. That listing's in Walla Walla, WA, where I grew up. My sister dated a guy with that last name, different first. Brothers? Weird.

Definately an odd add; still not sure which pipe is for sale.

WaHi, class of '92. WOOT.

There's just more gearheads in MI than WA, and more people in general back East. I do automotive engineering out here now. You can't throw a rock out here without hitting an OEM or supplier engineer here. I can only think of a handful of places that do this kind of work out West.

MI also has a 4-6 month riding season, so a lot of bikes rot in garages with low milage, never driven much. Lots of good deals if you know what to look for. Also lots of bad ones. I've been looking for another Spree to mod up, most guys want at least $200 for non-runners. Since my current one was mashed up, but free, I'm having a hard time finding anything that fits what I think a spent one is worth. You can never find the deals when you're looking for just one thing. Check your local police auctions and junkyards. They collect these. Also check Spokane; a 2 hr drive (by memory) but they used to have a huge scooter scene. Local university's also have scooters abandoned or dumpstered after every school year.

Also, check your local scooter shops. Even places that are selling cheap Chinese scoots new will often take in older Honda's on trade. Canton Scooters had a running Aero 80, missing rear sidepanels, for $350 last time I was in (it's been sold.) Not a bad deal at all.
